NADA Dealer Candidate Academy with Keena Lindberg


Keena Lindberg is currently attending National Automotive Dealer Association Dealer Candidate Academy. Current and future operators of dealerships can attend the programs at NADA Dealer Candidate Academy to learn the newest developments of the industry and to reinforce important practices of running a successful auto dealership. As an enrolled student at the Academy, Keena is required to complete six week-long classroom sessions. In addition, between classroom sessions, candidates work in different ares of the dealership to learn through hands-on experience. The six major areas include, financial management, parts, service, pre-owned vehicles, new vehicles, and business leadership. Keena is excited to be graduating on November 18, 2016. Along with all the great information she's learned, Keena has enjoyed the friendships she's built with other next-generation car dealers. She said, "My class has a group chat where 44 of us can ask questions to each other and get advice." She noted that they interact daily. Keena has put a substantial amount of effort and energy into her work at the Academy, and has taken away knowledge that will benefit her and the dealership for years to come.

Trick-Or-Treat in the Oakwood Mall Neighborhood 2016 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Recap of the 12th Annual Trunk n' Treat 2016 Hosted by Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane


For the 12th year, Trunk n' Treat brought families to Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane for a fun-filled evening with decorated trunks and free treats provided by some great businesses from around the Chippewa Valley! About 2,400 people came to Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane for the annual Halloween trick-or-treating event on Monday, October 24, 2016. With free treats and 28 decorated vehicle, it was a fun-filled evening for all! Thank you to all of the participating businesses and volunteers for helping to make this event possible each year!

GMME Y2 // A Celebration of Music in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin


The Greenhalgh Memorial Music Endowment Event and Fundraiser is coming to the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds on October 29, 2016. Musical performances will be featured at the event, including several local artists, the Chippewa Falls Community Band, and Troppo Big Band. Guests can also enjoy food, beer, wine, raffles, and a silent auction. Enjoy great music and a great time, during this event to support music programs at Chippewa Falls High School.

How to Remove the Hitch Cover on a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT


To remove the hitch cover on the 2017 Ford Explorer XLT equipped with the Class III Trailor Tow Package, find the groove on the underside of the cover on the rear bumper. Use the groove to pull the bottom of the cover up and outward. Next, pull one side of the cover outward until it pops out and pull the cover off. Pull carefully to avoid damaging the tabs on the cover. To put the cover back on, insert the tabs on the top of the cover first. Then, make sure all the tabs are inserted on the bottom and push the cover until it pops firmly back into place.

Meet Dwayne Johnson


Dwayne Johnson began working in September of 2016, and is a new member of the service team at Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane. Since joining the team, Dwayne has grown to enjoy working alongside the great team of service specialists at the dealership. In his free time, he enjoys giving motivational pep talks, lifting and moving large objects, and trying on various Ford apparel in the Parts Department. Dwayne is the type of hardworking guy that arrives early, and leaves late. In fact, we don't think we've ever actually seen him leave the dealership. One thing's for sure: we're happy to have him on our team.

Haunted Hustle 5K Walk/Run in Eau Claire, Wisconsin


The 2016 Haunted Hustle 5K Walk/Run is coming to Owen Park on Saturday, October 22nd. In addition to the 5K run/walk there will be a Spooky Sprint half-mile fun-run for kids, costume contests, a kids game area, a silent auction, onsite vendors, and other family-friendly entertainment. Registration fees from this year's event will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentors in Motion program.

How to Use the Front 180 Camera on a 2017 Ford Explorer Limited


Vehicles like the 2017 Ford Explorer Limited can come equipped with a front 180-degree camera that gives you added visibility while driving at low speeds. While in Park, Neutral, or Drive, press the camera button, located to the bottom left of the touch screen, to see a normal front view. Press the camera button again to see a 180-degree split-view, which can be helpful when driving your vehicle out of a spot with low visibility. Press the camera button again to return to the original screen.

Parinda Edirisinghe is a new member of our sales team, and began at Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane in September of 2016. Parinda was born and raised in Sri Lanka, went to college at North Dakota State while in Fargo, North Dakota, and then moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Being around all the new cars and trucks is one thing Parinda enjoys about the dealership. He also enjoys helping people make good decisions when they're buying a vehicle. Parinda's interests include fishing, road trips in his car, music, and rugby, which he played in high school and college.
