Meet Andrew Powers

Andrew Powers is a new member of our team and began at the dealership in September of 2016. Andrew was born in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. After living in Minnesota for 16 years, and going to school there, Andrew recently moved from Rochester, Minnesota, back to Wisconsin along with his wife, Leanna and 9-month-old daughter, Abby. He is now a Sales Consultant at Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane. When asked what his favorite thing about the dealership is, he replied, "When I speak to people around town, they say everyone here is very kind and happy. I agree. This is a great place to work." Andrew has a number of hobbies and interests as well. He said, "I love American Sign Language. I'm highly proficient and can assist any deaf or hard of hearing individual fully in sign language if they come in for a new or used vehicle." Andrew also enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and 15-month-old nephew, Elijah.

How to Use the Tailgate Step on a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT

The 2016 Ford F-150 can come equipped with a convenient Integrated Tailgate Step. With the tailgate open, press the release button until the step pops out. Slide the step all the way out and lower it down. Grab the yellow handle, extend the bar all the way out until it clicks, and lift it until it locks into place.

To fold the step back in, first press the yellow number "1" button on the bar and telescope the handle.
Press the yellow number "2" button, lower the bar down to the horizontal position, and push it back into the tailgate. Now, lift the step up and push it into the tailgate until it clicks into place.

2016 Run With the Cops 5K for Special Olympics in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

The 2016 Run With The Cops for Special Olympics is coming to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus on Thursday, October 13th. The event features a 5k run, a 1 mile walk route, and a kids' 1/4 mile run. Run alongside dozens of law enforcement officers, check out the law enforcement vehicle display, enjoy coffee and donuts at the finish line, and much more during this evening glow run to benefit Special Olympics athletes.

Dustin McFadzen is from Waukesha, Wisconsin and originally began at Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane in November of 2014. He recently rejoined the team as a Sales Consultant in September of 2016. 2016 Chippewa Valley Rock N' Roll Kickball Classic in Altoona, Wisconsin

The 2016 Chippewa Valley Rock N' Roll Kickball Classic is coming to Cinder City Park on October 7th and 8th. For the seventh year, the Altoona Parks & Recreation Department and their sponsors will be putting on this two day event, which will include Kubb, beanbags, a playground for kids, food, beverages, music, and of course, kickball! All money raised will go toward the Altoona Parks & Recreation Department. Mark your calendars and be sure to check out this free family event.

Go Kart Racing with Bill Sleep

In addition to his role as Parts Manager at Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane, Bill Sleep enjoys spending time on the track racing Go Karts on a 1/8 mile clay oval at Thunderhill Speedway in Menomonie. Bill has been racing for seven years. He and his son began racing at the same time, and it's something they enjoying doing for fun. When asked what he enjoys most about racing, Bill explained that he likes making the kart perform better, and he also likes to win against his son. In 2012 Bill was the Points Champion in Sportsman Class, and the State Champion in Sportsman Class. How to Turn on Multi Contour Massaging Seats on a 2017 Lincoln MKZ Reserve

Vehicles like the new 2017 Lincoln MKZ Reserve can come equipped with Multi Contour massaging seats that can be controlled from the SYNC 3 touch screen.

To turn them on:
1. Select "Settings"
2. Find and select "Multi Contour Seats"
3. Select "Massage"
4. Select the "Low" or "High" settings for the seat back and the seat cushion.

You can also turn on the passenger seat, by selecting "Passenger," selecting "Massage," and then choosing the "Low" or "High" settings.

Thoughts on Trunk N' Treat with Nancy Pabich

It's hard to believe, but the 12th Annual Trunk N' Treat is just around the corner. When asked about this annual event hosted by Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Quick Lane, Nancy Pabich, the Trunk N' Treat Even Coordinator, said, "It is a safe and fun place where adults and children can come dressed in costumes to trick or treat at 20 plus decorated vehicles and enjoy some treats along the way. The children and costumes are amazing. So creative and fun!" With over 2,550 children and adults in attendance last year, it takes a lot to prepare for each event.  Nancy explained that it takes a lot of detail work by the planner and staff, generous vendor contributions of treats and time, and the contribution of funds and use of the entire facility by the owners. When asked what she enjoys most about preparing for Trunk N' Treat, Nancy said, "talking with past vendors and sponsors who are so excited to participate again, and hearing about all the kids who are already deciding what they will wear for a costume this year!" She concluded by saying, "Our employees are the best! They all pitch in to setup and tear down the event the same day." Soon, it will be all hands on deck for this year's Trunk N' Treat, and we can't wait to see you there!

How to Use PowerScope® Mirrors on a 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Vehicles like the new 2017 Ford Super Duty can come equipped with PowerScope® trailer tow mirrors that extend, retract, and fold at the push of button. To extend the mirrors out, press and hold the left arrow on the telescopic mirror button located above the four arrow buttons. To retract the mirrors back in, press and hold the right arrow on the telescopic mirror button until the mirror is fully retracted. To fold the mirrors, press the mirror fold button located to the bottom left of the four arrow buttons. To unfold the mirrors, press the mirror fold button again.
